Who is eligible for AikRoshani scholarships?
Our scholarships are open to deserving students from low-income backgrounds in the countries where we operate. Priority is given to orphans, children from conflict zones, and girls in areas where female education is restricted. Applications are reviewed by our field teams.
Does my Zakat qualify for education programs?
Yes. Supporting education for those in poverty falls within the valid categories of Zakat (Fuqara and Masakeen). Our scholars have verified that funding education for deserving students is Sharia-compliant. Your Zakat reaches those who truly need it.
Can I fund one specific child's education?
Yes! Through our Orphan Sponsorship Program you can sponsor one child's full education β and receive regular updates about their progress. It is one of the most rewarding forms of Sadaqah Jariyah β ongoing charity that continues to benefit you even after death.
Where are the schools you build located?
We build schools primarily in Pakistan (Sindh, Balochistan, KPK), Gaza, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, and several African nations. Every school is constructed based on community needs identified by our field teams, and built to last for generations.
How do I know my money is being used properly?
AikRoshani publishes full Annual Reports and Financial Statements every year. We are a registered welfare organisation operating under Charity Commission guidelines. You can request our impact reports at any time β complete transparency is our commitment to every donor.
Is vocational training also covered under this program?
Absolutely. Our Livelihood & Skills Training program runs alongside our education initiatives. We teach practical, marketable trades β sewing, IT, carpentry, cooking, and more β to adults and young people who missed out on formal schooling.
